Hanna-Mari Baldauf has a profound knowledge of virology and molecular biology. She is also a fantastic group leader with a hands-on, team-driven approach to solve any problems that arise. Outside of work, she's a mother to two young children and loves geocaching and baking.
ALEJANDRO SALINAS-ILLARENA, M.SC.
Doctoral Student
Alejandro completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry at the LMU Munich. After an internship and Master's thesis with us, he returned as a doctoral student and is our synthetic biology expert. In his free time, he likes to swim and try out new healthy recipes.
ALEXANDRA JUDITH KOCH, M.SC.
Doctoral student
Alexandra completed a Master's degree in Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. She has joined us to delve into ancient lentivirus expression mechanisms. When she's not in the lab, she enjoys doing Yoga, baking and traveling.
MARSHALL BRICKHEIMER, M.SC.
Technical assistant
Marshall completed a Master's degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Cologne. He assists with multiple projects of current and former members, as well as administrative tasks within the lab. In his free time, he enjoys music, movies, and traveling abroad.
SELIN AIDIN
Medicine doctoral student
Selin is currently a medicine student at the LMU Munich and joined the VIIRAL team as a medicine doctoral student for a year. Besides her interest in oncology, she loves to read and bake.
